On World Water Day, March 22, 2022, clean water advocates met at the Water Tower and performed a skit to demonstrate how big banks like Chase Bank pollute the lake by financing pipeline and oil refineries.

Enbridge operates the lakehead system of piplelines that surrounds Lake Michigan. BP operates a refinery in Whitting, IN. Both the refinery and the pipelines that bring tar sands oil to the refinery, threaten Lake Michigan, our drinking water.

After they performed their skit, they went to Chase Bank branch and caused a disruption inside by playing a message about how Chase bank participates in polluting the lake, unfurling banners and chanting.
