On Jan 13, 2020, frontline leaders and allies disrupted business as usual at a health care conference in San Francisco funded by JP Morgan and Chase, calling out the bank for its hypocrisy: as the #1 Wall Street funder of climate chaos, the bank is also funding a health care crisis. Indigenous leaders held space within the lobby with a round dance, surrounded by banners, before bringing the message in front of the conference’s entrance. We demanded Chase Bank divest immediately from all current and new fossil fuel projects and respect Indigenous rights.
