Join us for a rally calling on Chase Bank and CEO Jamie Dimon to divest from tar sands and other dirty fossil fuels, in solidarity with frontline leaders fighting the Line 3 pipeline.
Tues. May 21, 2019
Chase Tower, 21 S Clark St, Chicago, IL
While Chase shareholders from across the US are meeting at the bank’s annual general meeting, we’re here to tell them we won’t put up with business as usual. While more species are going extinct, wildfires ravage the west, cities are lost to sea level rise and more water is polluted from spilled pipelines, we call on Chase Bank and other institutions to stand on the right side of history.
Chase Bank is the largest Wall Street funder of dirty fossil fuels, including Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline in Northern Minnesota, which has not received consent from Indigenous communities, and threatens land, water and ways of life. Chase must discontinue funding all fossil fuel projects and keep oil in the ground.
Join Rising Tide Chicago, Rainforest Action Network, frontline leaders and other local and regional partners in resisting this pipeline and fighting for a just transition.
Action endorsed by 350 Chicago, 350 Madison Climate Action Team, 350 Milwaukee, Sunrise Chicago, Food & Water Watch, Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization (PERRO), Southeast Side Coalition to Ban Petcoke, Chicago Area Peace Action and more.
Sign Honor the Earth’s petition to reject the proposed Enbridge pipeline corridor.
